Bio

Sandesh shandilya was born on 19th feb 1968 and grew up in Agra, the city of Taj. His father was a professor of military science. At an early age Sandesh found himself attracted to art of music and decided to train in Indian classical music from Shri Ram Bhartiya Kala Kendra , Delhi. He came to bombay at the age of 21 and started with assisting a well known music arranger Surinder Sodhi. Later he also started training under Ustad Sultan Khan, the Sarangi Maestro. His zest to learn did not stop there, he pursued studying western classical music under Elisabetta Brusa from Italy and  piano from Jeo Fernandes. He has also trained under Rajashree Pathak for Indian classical vocals.

He is currently one of the most successful composer in Indian Music Industry and has worked on more than 20 top notch Films in India. Most of his songs have been chart busters. He won a MTV International Award for his very first album " Piya Bsanti'. Apart from numerous other awards, he has also won the LA Reel award for the best original soundtrack in the foreign film category in 2010 for the film " road to sangam". Currently he is working on a symphony called 'Search for Buddha' to be Performed by the WDR Rundfunk Orchestra Cologne, Germany on 6th and 7th Feb,2015.
